Candle Care

We want you to be able to enjoy your candle as much as possible. Below some safety tips and  tips to maximize the life of your candle.

  • Store your candles in cool or room temperature and away from direct sunlight to prevent unwanted warming or melting of the wax.
  • ALWAYS be sure to trim your wick to the proper length (about 1/4 inch) prior to every lighting of your candle. This helps it burn more efficiently and increases your candles lifespan.

  • THE FIRST BURN IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. In order to prevent candle tunneling, be sure to allow the top layer of candle wax to melt evenly before extinguishing. This typically takes around 2-3 hours.

  • DO NOT burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Doing so will cause the wick to become unstable and produce a dangerously large flame.

  • To extinguish your candle, use a snuffer. NEVER blow your candle out.

  • DISCONTINUE BURNING when there is 1/2 inch of wax left at the bottom of the jar.
